These include: a possible <strong>new EU-wide petition<\/strong> or citizens&#8217; initiative, a partial basic income for all EU citizens (the\u00a0<strong>Eurodividend<\/strong>), mobilising EU-funding for <strong>basic income pilot projects<\/strong>\u00a0in the increasing number of regions that want to do them, or the idea of\u00a0basic income for people in the <strong>food and farming<\/strong> sector.<\/p>\n<p>We have also\u00a0compiled a submission to the European Commission&#8217;s public consultation on the &#8216;<a href=\"http:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/priorities\/deeper-and-fairer-economic-and-monetary-union\/towards-european-pillar-social-rights\/public_en\" target=\"_blank\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?hl=nl&amp;q=http:\/\/basicincome-europe.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3Dd16fcf029571aab3da6d0a3a4%26id%3Dfc753ba910%26e%3D2255b2aa6a&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1482509048323000&amp;usg=AFQjCNF9XpVe2fyn5ypQ-ohQL06urPs9rA\">European Pillar of Social Rights<\/a>&#8216;, and recently found support for the idea of basic income at a recent conference on &#8216;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.eesc.europa.eu\/?i=portal.en.events-and-activities-eesc-ilo\" target=\"_blank\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?hl=nl&amp;q=http:\/\/basicincome-europe.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3Dd16fcf029571aab3da6d0a3a4%26id%3Da2f88ef207%26e%3D2255b2aa6a&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1482509048323000&amp;usg=AFQjCNFF_37V4vxArOzrT5wUJwqVq6fJXg\">The Future of Work We Want&#8217;<\/a> co-organised by the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) and the International Labor Organisation (ILO).<\/p>\n<p>All these activities are really stretching the capacities of the numerous volunteers working in UBIE. To be able to sustain and professionalise our efforts, we launched a <a href=\"https:\/\/opencollective.com\/ubie\" target=\"_blank\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?hl=nl&amp;q=http:\/\/basicincome-europe.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3Dd16fcf029571aab3da6d0a3a4%26id%3D8ce6d65484%26e%3D2255b2aa6a&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1482509048324000&amp;usg=AFQjCNFmzn5h3nb3TNRQOKnDLmq_ncHjNw\">fundraising appeal on\u00a0OpenCollective<\/a>.
